Founded in 1982, PAWS is an all-volunteer, nonprofit animal welfare organization that rescues, fosters, re-homes and facilitates adoptions for cats in the greater Wakefield area. Partnering with the VCA Wakefield Animal Hospital, PAWS funds the cost of spaying/neutering, exams, vaccinations, medicines, blood work and diagnostic tests, medical supplies and emergency interventions for all the animals in our care.
